About Vicki Warren

Picture
Vicki Warren is a journalist, photographer, writer and producer.  Early in her career, she was blessed to know and work for investigative journalist Jack Anderson.  Under his tutelage she learned the key elements of journalism - most importantly, how to get the story right!  The skills she learned muckraking for Anderson have come in handy in every aspect of her life.

Whether researching books for Time-Life, including two on serial killers and one on the Mafia, or helping produce the Emmy Award winning series of shows Lost Civilizations, Vicki's work has always been driven by a real passion for getting to the heart of the story.

Since the demise of Time-Life, she has continued working on documentaries including the shows Lord of the Flies and Malcolm X for the award winning Great Book series, two Eco-Challenge shows with Mark Burnett, Mr. Justice Brennan for PBS, and Sideshow for TLC.

She is most proud of working on the Here is New York project when it came to Washington D.C. in 2002, helping to put together the most complete audiovisual archive of the impact of the events of September 11, 2001.  For the past several years, she has worked with Gandhi Brigade, an organization that teaches media skills to young people and empowers them to find their voice.  She is currently president of the Gandhi Brigade board and is also working on developing new programming incorporating her own vision and unique voice.
